This was a colder camping trip than usual. Destination was Banning State Park in the Northern part of Minnesota. We woke up to 27 F (-3 C) and flurries. Snow eventually picked up and we found ourselves scrambling to take down our campsite in the freezing weather. After warming up with a cup of coffee and fire, we headed down to the Kettle River to pluck some ‘eye candy’ shots. I hope you’ll enjoy!

Very nice. Your shots capture the delicate equipoise between the end of the growing season and start of winter. Banning may be my favorite MN state park.
Yes Roger, my favorite park too. It just so happened that I was there at the ‘sharpest’ cusp of that seasonal change -:)
