Long overdue, but here are some pictures from my recent Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA) trip in August. We only made it as far as Lake Disappointment and managed to find a beautiful campsite facing South. The main hardship we encountered was weather, in the form of strong gusting wind that prevented us from going far on Snowbank Lake, hence our modest destination of Lake Disappointment. It turns out that our campsite was beautiful with a rocky point at the entrance that allowed us to observe sunrise and sunset. We heard wolves, loons, observed star-studdend skies, spotted warblers, and generally had a wonderful trip.
I went photoraphically minimalistic on this trip where I only took my film camera Leica M6 TTL and a single lens, Zeiss 2.8/35 C-Biogon, and 5 rolls of various color films. I had the films processed at Target and I scanned them myself.
